Congrats to RioAs part of the big Olympic Congress which just took place in Copenhagen, Rio beat out Madrid, Tokyo and Chicago for the right to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. That will surely be a great party. (Check out this video which gives a bit of the flavor of what’s to come). We look forward to getting to Brazil to see how it is impacting the country.

South Africa 2010 QualifiersWhat an amazing time to see who will make it to the World Cup finals in South Africa next summer. The excitement is definitely generating. There were so many incredible matches, including the USA qualifying in a nail-biter against Honduras. Watching Maradona do a front slide on the muddy field in Argentina makes you realise the depth of the passion for football. As you can see in our travel schedule, we don’t plan to miss the big show next year. FULL STORY »

Our Worldwide Adventure is About to Begin!

Orlando, Florida, USA – 15 September 2009

Welcome to our website and the first of what will be many updates and video blogs as we travel the world.

With only weeks to go until our departure, we are very excited to get on the road. But there are so many things for us to do. From getting plane tickets, to acquiring the camera equipment, to finalizing where we will actually be going, we are still very busy making the final preparations.

This summer has been a non-stop adventure. It started in June with my final days at the International Olympic Committee in Switzerland. (Check out this video we shot on my last day at the office in Lausanne.)

My last official week of work with the IOC actually took place in Vancouver, Canada, where we conducted a week’s worth of meetings with my counterparts at the Vancouver 2010 Organizing Committee.  It was a bit sad to leave Vancouver with the Games only a few months away, but after attending the last three Olympic Games, I think it will be fascinating to observe how the Olympics are “consumed” in other parts of the world. One of my last assignments with the IOC was to conduct a few video interviews with some of the top staff at the Vancouver committee, and hearing their stories made me realize what they are doing there is amazing. It will be a spectacular Olympic Games this winter, rich in great sport and Canadian culture. FULL STORY »
